Graphics seeks to develop students’ knowledge and understanding of the fundamentals of graphical communication and to cultivate awareness of the importance of graphical languages as modes of communicating ideas and information.

Through complex geometrical problems students will develop knowledge and understanding of the processes involved in applying mathematical concepts such as space and measurement to precise graphical representations.

Students develop extensive skill in applying computers as a tool for the presentation of graphical information, which will enable them to use the college’s 3D Milling Machine to produce their designs.

The study of Graphics is beneficial for students considering careers including graphic designer, architect, landscape architect, town planner, cartographer, industrial designer, interior designer, engineer, draftsman, surveyor and builder.
