 Years 9 and 10 Music involves singing, playing instruments, listening, improvising and composing by manipulating musical elements to express ideas through sound. Students do not necessarily require previous musical tuition or experience to enrol in this subject, but must be prepared to engage in the activities listed above.
Years 9 and 10 Music Performance is designed for students who have preferrably had some prior musical tuition or performance experience. This subject seeks to develop a choral and possibly an instrumental group to perform at school functions, as well as for the wider community.
Students may elect to do neither of these electives, one of these electives, or both.
