Primary Academics

Our curriculum offers the following subjects which are taught by dedicated Christian teachers:

•    Physical Education
•    Class Music
•    Information Technology
•    Drama

Our Learning Support teacher provides individual and small group intervention for students who require extra assistance.

As part of our Primary Maths program we utilise Mathletics .  Mathletics is a web-based learning program which integrates home and school learning via the internet which is syllabus based from Kindergarten to Year 12.  We currently use this program for students in Years 4 and 7.

At TCC Primary we have a wonderful culture of reading.  All students in Years 4-7 participate in the Accelerated Reader Program.  Once students have read a book in their goal range they complete a quiz on that book.  As the students progress through the program they are given certificates for their achievements and if they make their goal by the end of term they can be part of an Accelerated Reader Sausage Sizzle. 

At Toowoomba Christian College we strive for academic excellence in everything we do.  Tuesday help is offered to any students in the Primary school who feel they could benefit from some extra assistance.
