Computers

Toowoomba Christian College believes that it is important for all students to develop competent Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills.

In Year 8, Computers is a compulsory Trimester subject.

In Years 9 and 10, two computer electives are offered. Computers - Microsoft Office enables students to develop their skills using the Microsoft Office program package - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access.

In 2009, Toowoomba Christian College became a Microsoft IT Academy.

The second Years 9 and 10 computers elective is Computers - Multimedia. In this elective, students develop their skills in the areas of webpage design, game making, animation and photo manipulation.

In Years 11 and 12, students are able to choose from a number of electives within the Computers course. It is also possible for students to complete their Certificate III in Information Technology through the Southern Queensland Institute of TAFE.
