Physics

In Years 11 and 12, the Science electives of Biology, Chemistry and Physics are offered as subjects. In Years Nine and Ten, students are placed in either the Advanced or General stream of Science. Science is a compulsory subject for all Year Eight students.

The study of Physics pursues an understanding of the physical laws in God’s world and applies this knowledge to a range of scenarios and problems. One cannot escape the evidence for a Master Designer as the questions of ‘how’ and ‘why’ in the physical world are explored and explained.

Physics is suited to students who have studied Advanced Mathematics and Advanced Science in Junior High and who are studying Mathematics B in Senior High.

The study of Physics is beneficial for students who are considering careers in fields including: astronomy; electronics, engineering, optics, electrical and mechanical trades, telecommunications, computer science, industrial design, surveying, mining, and radiology.
